First Release

WE DID IT!!

Man, so this was a wild past 13 days. Taking this project from having only a few scenes written to a decent playable was incredible. I definitely could not have done it without the help of some great people on this project who you can see in the credits. Beautiful art, great story, all came from people I've never met before we started this jam almost 2 weeks ago. I am so thankful and so proud of the effort everyone made. 

As with all creative endeavors, constraint leads to innovation and creativity, but it also leads to major cuts due to time. This first version is the absolute core of the MoT experience. This is really an introduction to a larger series that we hope to write for you in longer form, with more choices, more paths, and more emotional moments. 

This story is about friendship, and what can happen to it when placed in unlikely situations. We all have lost friendships in the past due to factors sometimes out of our control. Sometimes in our control. Writing this first draft of the first installment into the Curse of Mazoku series was a joy. Made possible by the good people of the Dallas Society of Play and their game jam that made me finish this labor of love at least in its first form.

Further Plans:

We plan on releasing this game on Steam in the near future with a much more fleshed out story, more content and more engaging choices. It was important to me to have choices mean something. As with all VN's you can't have infinite choice without infinite content. But we can create more to get the playtime to a place we're happy with. We want to more completely flesh out Genki, Hinata and Sakura's stories as well as their past with you, the player. So give our initial draft a play through, and then when it comes out on Steam later this year check out the changes we've made and the new features that we're adding as well as a hell of a lot more story.

All I can say is thank you to the team for letting me finish this game, and truly begin to release the world of the Mazoku into the world.
